What would be a wiser buy?

I am wondering what would be a better buy performance wise, a Western Digital 80G Special Edition or P4 2.4 and Motherboard? I currently have a 40G WD regular drive and Athlon XP 1600.

How full-up is your current drive & what do you primarily use your rig for?

I have 15 gigs left after I took off some games. But I mainly use it for games and research. Now that I think about it, mabye I should get a 17" LCD instead, like the Iiyama. I had the Hitachi for a week and it was ok.
