Set 11 years after the 3rd Tiberium war, the new game is a squad-based action FPS, where you control various units, such as missile infantry and Orcas. Tiberium will be a mix of Ghost Recon, Battlefield and Rainbow Six, set in the C&C Universe.

I didn't think Renegade was bad.

The multiplayer was better than the single player though.

I only played it multiplayer once. The obelisk of light couldn't fire more than 20ft but the GDI defense tower could lob missles as far as it could see, not exactly balanced.

This time it should be balanced if the game is about to survive for long (unlike Renegade).

personally i enjoyed the SP part & the skirmish too! being able to command the units you used to see in the RTS game is great

I liked Renegade MP quite a bit back in the day. Man, I played that on a 600MHz PIII and Geforce2MX. :headexplode:

wow... haha

I can't remember what I played it on.

I'm just going to take a wild guess and say it was my Athlon XP 1800+ and either the Geforce 2 GTS for a while, then the Geforce 4 Ti 4400 when they came out later that year (just time time for Morrowind! wooo! :p).

BTW 2002 was an excellent year for PC games. Morrowind, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor:Allied Assault, Renegade, Arx Fatalis... wow...

I remember renegade. First time I ever played it was on a 400mhz Celeron with 192mb ram and a geforce 2 MX 200 (32mb ram)... That was my introduction to PC FPS games. I had a ball with multiplayer, but as soon as Medal of Honor: Allied Assault hit the market, I was all over that thing. :D

I hear you. I probably played the MoHAA MP demo more than I've played any game since. Seriously.

I loved renegade, the MP was great. I played it for 2 or 3 years, had a top clan, it had some unique gameplay that everyone else since then has tried to copy but have yet to get right.

Heres hoping that this new game will be very similar to renegade in play style.

MOHAA actually came out about a month before Renegade.

Both were in Q1 2002.

The MOHAA demo was definitely my most played demo since Quake 2 though. What an amazing game. Awesome online and LAN play, great missions...

I sold it not long after beating it because I needed money for another game, but I've been thinking of buying it again just to get a little of that classic MOHAA deathmatch going. The snowy park level was easily my favorite.
