EVGA just realeased a revision 2 of the GTS. It is suppose to be better than the current GT and perhaps even better than the GTX. Does anyone know how this compares to the other 8800 models?

it does great and takes a seat just under the 8800gtx, although its 512mb will limit its performance in demanding games with aa. overclocking, its the first card to hit 800+ core, it really is a beast. you cant go wrong with eitehr a 8800gts or a gt.

In a few weeks i will be building my very first gaming rig and I was wondering if the new gts is worth the extra $80 over the GT? Keep in mind im on a pretty tight budget.

ryan read the reviews about it, there is a thread in this a few threads below.

read and decide for yourself if its worth it.

also look in power consumption, heat and cooler type, and not just performance (which are sometimes small and sometimes bigger).

But the gts hit that with the stock cooler/voltage, dont think you'll get anywhere near 800mhz on the gt unless its volt modded and with a bigger heatsink.
