Hi,

I have a Seagate 320GB in my system now, but I use it for dual booting XP/Vista, so I was in need for a new HDD just for my Vista, the other reason was storage shortage due the amount of games, patches, updates placed on my pc.

So I ordered this one:

So I hope to read some interesting notes from the guys/girls, I know it's too late to change my opinion, but I always love to read some remarks, feedback according this product...

thx

I bought a 500GB 16MB cache WD for my HTPC and I'm impressed. It's much quieter than my desktop's Seagate 7200.10s.

I think my next HDD purchase will be SSD though. :D

How many trucks does it take to move that 750? :D

Great choice. I just replaced a Raptor with the 750 SE16. AWESOME!

Quiet, fast, quiet, fast and fast.

The Raptor will be sold or relegated to a USB enclosure.

Yes, it is heavy.

I hope to receive it soon, how much does it get on the Vista WEI?

My Seagate 320GB gets 5.7

My Seagate 320GB gets 5.7I've got the 500GB version and it gets 5.8 on the WEI. I'd expect yours to get the 5.9 being a newer model.

I have 4 Western Digital 750 gig SATA II's in my WHS and two 500's plus the Raptor's in my main rig. All have worked great so far.

Windows Home Server, Enermax 550, AMD 4200+ dual core, 4 gig ram, plus other odd's and ends. I need to replace that PSU with something smaller as it's way over kill for this. But everything but the HD's and SATA II card was stuff I just had on hand.

That's the temp on the front LCD display. It run's 24/7 with out any problems. That box and WHS can backup/storage and stream Video/Audio through my network/wireless hub to anywhere in the house with np, but that's another project LOL. It will hold something like 570+ DVD's (if I did that math right), so much music it's hard to put a number on it. After formatting drives it's has around 2.75 TB's available

I will get around to cleaning it up a bit when time permits.

I really wanted to go with this

But the price of parts was just getting way out of hand for this project so I went cheap LOL.
