I've gotten a deal for this TV for 5200 out the door rather then 6400 listed. How good are the quality of this certain TV? 5k+ is a lot of cash so I want to make sure it's worth every penny. :)

Buy a projection HDTV the same size for $800-1200 and spend the rest on something better. :D
Samsung is already planning out the 2000x4000 LCDs...so I dunno that I'd be dropping 5 grand on a tv right now.

Save yourself some cash and get a rear projection or plasma and wait it out.

Well, we bought a very nice Sony Bravia 1080p 50" rear projection LCD today for $1200 ("without a box" special at CC so we saved $200). :D
Can't wait to hook my PC up to it and try some games on it at 1920x1080. :D

Sony doesn't make a 50" Bravia RP LCD. Sounds like you bought a 3000 series SXRD which is an LCoS set.

That's a ripoff bro. You can get an LCD that size for a lot cheaper.
Here's a 47in 1080p LCD for $1400 at newegg

While Westinghouse isn't the crem de la crem of LCDs, it does amazing things for it's rock bottom price.
If you want something larger than 47in I suggest you go with a Sony Rear Projection TV.

What are you talking about?
It's a Sony 50" Bravia E-Series 3LCD Rear Projection HDTV

Future tech man..just saying. ;) You never know what's around the bend...especially in the HD market.
Point was I would not be dropping that kind of cash on a tv right now with the tech in the state of flux that it's in. Especially not one that size.
