I am currently thinking about selling my old system and buy a system with 8800GT, but that's beside the point.
I didn't know where to put this post so I put it here since I had an ATI card.
Here's the spec:
Pentium 4 3.0GHz
Can't remeber the motherboard
1 Gig DDR2 533 RAM
Radeon X850XT AGP
120 Gig HD IDE
400W PSU
and a random DVD-ROM
Just the tower though, I'm keeping my old monitors and such.
This system runs a lot of games at quite a decent setting, but it's not enough for me.
Thanks for any replies, I really need some voices.:D

$500-$700 max. Probably not even that. Good luck selling it. :(

WOW that's a lot
the new one I'm getting is only $600
I was thinking about $300 max...
$500 if you sell to some old couple, $300 if you're lucky when you sell it on the forum.

Even $500 is a bit of a stretch.
If you're trying to sell it to someone who wants to play games, maybe $300-$400.
It'd be hard to really pass it for any more than that.
A machine significantly faster than that can be built brand new for $450.

True, that's why I said MAX. I totally thought "I'll give you about $250 for that machine" just so I can use it for scrap parts. I would never pay $500 for that machine when machines based on much newer architecture are available for less.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even the cheapest E2140 is so much better than my crappy P4 3.0.
Same with AGP...
I'd be pretty happy with $250

£10/$20 Pentium 4 3.0GHz
£10/$20 motherboard
£5/$10 1 Gig DDR2 533 RAM
£20/$40 Radeon X850XT AGP
£15/$30 120 Gig HD IDE
£15/$30 400W PSU
£0/$0 DVD-ROM
£10/$20 Tower
£85/$170
It now worth £85/$170 for second hand system without a monitor. Prices for second hand DVD-ROM is priceless, you can find brand new DVD-ROM or second hand DVD-RW drives for £5 and the brand new fastest DVD±RW for £15 to £20.
