Where can one buy 64bit version of windows vista? I have the 32bit (H.P.)version but ready to move upto 64bit,

You should be able to use your x86 key to activate its x64 version. You'll have to get your hands on the x64 disk though. You could borrow one from a friend or even download it(lee)

Those kind of links aren't allowed here. What I suggested above is not exactly legal hence the bloody pirate (lee) ;)

Nope, other than going out and BUYING a x64 version.
In my opinion, what Dr. Nick suggested isn't strictly speaking illegal, as you have already paid for the 32 bit version and will be using your legally acquired x86 key !

Its perfectly legal to use a 64-bit disk with your 32-bit key. As a matter of fact if you get on Microsofts site they will send you a 64-bit version for the price of shipping if you have a valid 32-bit key.

Retail 32bit key is valid for 64bit Vista. OEM 32bit key doesn't. Those with retail can order the 64bit disk nearly free, those with OEM have to purchase the 64bit version as a new Vista.

I agree (sorta)....since you already have the key for 32 bit....you just have to be creative in finding a way to download the 64 bit. ;) (lee)

If someone who knew nothing about computers read that, i believe they would be awfully confused:)

You have to have a retail version of 32bit vista before you can get a 64bit version from microsoft for $9.95 ,if you have the oem 32 bit os then you have to buy the 64bit oem ,unless you can find a way around that.
