If 169.28 gets WHQL certification it is still SAME driver than before. Only difference is that you don't have to click in installation "are you sure you want install these drivers are really sure you want to install..." that red jargon you get when driver isn't WHQL certified.
WHQL certified is just M$ digital signature (nvidia pays big $ to M$ so they get that signature).
Good example was 163 series drivers they did get WHQL certivication but where unusable because constant driver crashes in IE7 (nvlddmkm errors).
So long story to short WHQL dosen't mean a ****.

But don't some BETA drivers get skipped over in WHQL-certification? Couldn't this quite possibly be one of those?

Great, need to try these drivers :)
Ut was crashing like if for some reason it was out of memory with slowdowns and gave me the old back to desktop crash a few times so i hope these drivers solve that problem. ;)
