How pathetic, I'm actually trying to break 1,000 posts today.

It's sad to me, it really is...but it's a measure of me own online vanity I guess. Ever since the database dump here I've been feeling just somehow wrong with less than 1,000 posts.

I know I rant on and on about how post count doesn't really matter, but I reckon to some extent it does to me. I just feel that after the first 1,000 you're "in" so to speak on that board, you're one of the regular posters. Nothing wrong with being under that, but I guess I still sort of think of people with 4 digits posts as somehow being "the usual suspects" or something.

I've been giving an arwful lot of thought to me board addiction over the last week or so, and I've more or less come to grips with it and am happy with meself and me plans for it. (It really doesn't affect my lifestyle right now, if it does it's a problem. We all have our own ways to have fun. :) ) One of me sillier goals is to finally crack me 1,000 mark here so I can quit not feeling like a regular.

Yeah, I know it's stupid...I think that's why I posted about it. I like making my most embarressing thoughts public like that, you folks are the only ones I know who might "get it". ;)

I was THE spammer back when nvmax was a site that got hits...I have the 2nd highest post count and I'd bet most of the was due to spamming it up.

I hate spamming, I can't bring meself to do it. I might post some useless/silly content from time to time, but I at least try and keep it entertaining enough to read to make it worth people's time to read.

I don't know if this kind of thread counts as "pure spam" or not. It is sort of just posting about how I'm trying to increase my post count a bit, but it ain't "pure spam" by my own personal definition since it's actually about something. :confused:

I've always had a relatively low post count to everybody else, even during the UBB5 days here. Maybe it's because I just end up saying much more less often! What I would like to see below our post count is a "BS Post" percentile and it's compiled by public vote. Just a simple check box on each of our posts next to "Check this if you think this post is BS!" and viola!! :D :p

Then again, maybe that's a bad idea.

People here would then whine about their 40% "BS" post rating!! :p

We had a user rating system where you could rate a user from 1-5 stars. When Kiler first turned up he went around giving everyone 1 star and a whole bunch of us kicked off about it:D

We had a similar thing over at RageUnderground before I started visciously loathing 'em. You could rate 1-5 stars, but damn near no one ever did.

I took personal satisfaction at having not only a 5 star rating, but the highest number of people who voted for 'em. (36 votes I think, Andre recently wiped RU to start fresh since so many of the old regulars got honked at him and started dissing all over his board...or else one of 'em got REALLY mad and did it for him. ;) )
