Which is the best?

Im going to get a Cosmos and switch out the stock fans with some green LED ones :)

And these look like the best. Now, which is the better fan?

Thermaltake Thunderblade A1928 120mm Green LED Case Fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999139)
ZALMAN ZM-F3GL 120mm Green LED Case Fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118022)
Antec 761345-75025-7 120mm Green LED Case Fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835209012)

You think 5 led fans would be too much light?

the thermal take thunder blades suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to loud and no 3 pin connector. The Zalman on the other hand is supposed to be very good go for them instead ;)

I agree, go for the Zalman with the Antec as a second choice. Forget the Thermaltake.

I use the Antecs. On low they are silent, but in the Cosmos you'll probably need to run them up around medium and they can get a little noisey.

Tell me about it. On the other hand if you go to Jab Tech you can get Yate looms dirt cheat 3-4 bucks at times but they start to fall apart in the first 30 days then they hum then chirp.. then they wobble and oh my lord they will drive you insane!

Fans are so hard to find if your looking for a quite one with decent air movement ... These are the best out there http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185059 But there sleeve bearings as well so they don't last long maybe a year or so but then again the zals are the same way

Well i want a fan that will last
i dont want to blow 50 bucks on fans, and then have them die

mythy

they will unless you go for high precision double ball bearing fans and they don't come with LED's :p

So what, the Zalmans will just quit working/spinning and fall apart?

mythy
12-23-07, 08:54 PM
in time yes they all will the sleeve bearing isn't great. Its just a rod with grease around it in a sleeve... not exactly quality item. if you mount them up top they can wear down much faster.

These will last much longer and look at there MTBF run time but there $20 a piece :(

Well i think ill just grab 1 of the Zalmans and use it to cool the HD's in the Cosmos. That should give me some nice light too :)

I just installed the Antec fans that you posted and I tell you what they put out massive air. I have all 5 120mm on the zalman fan controller and they are so quiet. I am very happy with them.

I got my fans! Fist let me say these Zalmans are top quality!!! Not junk not even close. On silent mode there, well silent... They don't move much but there silent. The LEDs are semi brite but only light up the fan they wont provided you with case lighting. Maybe a bit of glow but thats it.

I also got a 88CFM S-flex slip stream fan and it works wonders! Its quieter and moves a crap load more air. But it looks bland.. any way thats mounted on my thermalright 120 ultra and its keeping my Quad at 57 under full load :D

ok under full load there horrible way to loud they move alot of air but not usable :( So silent sucks.. Full sucks..60% is ok still not allot of air.. I guess I would recommend the slip stream fans
