Its questions like these that really make me stop and scratch my head. How can one define best? Pick the board that has what YOU want and is in YOUR price range. Thats really all I can say.

Another similar question. Really they are all about the same. Personally I would go for, and have gone for as I ordered it Thursday, one of MSI's new boards: http://www.msicomputer.com/product/chipset.asp?chipset=intel_875p. As for overclocking, its most definately NOT going to be the Intel board.

Thanks.

How are Asus and Abit Intel 875P chipset motherboards?

They are good, but its up to you to determine which has the features you are looking for. The MSI boards really have more features, a lower price, and better performance than both ABIT's and ASUS's offerings.

Okay, I read around and it seems that the Asus P4C800 Deluxe is one of the best.

The Asus MB doesn't use the CSA bus to connect the gigabit ethernet chip. The CSA is a 266MByte/s bus on the Northbridge. But then again, how many people will be saturating a gigabit pipe?
