I watched some crappy streams online.
Barely worked most of the time and I missed most of the silva vs liddell fight, but overall it was a pretty good show.

Personally I felt Wandy won round 1 and 2... but whatever.
And I hated that Machida vs. Sokoudju fight because I like both guys and I wanted Sok to come in on a win but knew Machida was too much for him.
Oh man I was watching this fight in a bar with friends and where we were sitting it sounded like the announcers were saying "Vegeta" every time they said his name. There were many jokes made about the Predator's power level.
Also at this bar was some guy with the EXACT same haircut as Chuck Liddell. So when his group was chearing hard for Chuck I yelled out "Chuck Liddell ya got no family!" in a loud southern voice.

Did anyone watch the Fedor vs. Hong Man Choi fight? It really proves how elite of an athelete fedor really is. Theres no doubt in my mind Fedor has the ability to take the heavyweight belt in UFC if he was fighting there.

Yeah... I felt his takedown sucked though... not that it usually does, but Choi was too big to go for a greco roman/sambo type take down... should have just went for the double leg or something... but it looked like a small child fighting a giant... as soon as it went to the ground and I saw how Choi's hands were on Fedor I remembered that sweet armbar Fedor caught Coleman with years ago and saw it coming.... glad it did because I LOVE that freaking transition.

Wow, I just watched the Fedor and Hong Man Choi fight. Freaking awesome. I've never seen an arm bar done upside down like that. I guess thats the advantage of fighting someone so much larger than you. You can actually use their body as leverage against them... almost like another "floor".
I sorta figured it'd go something like that though. Fedor is too good of a fighter to get laid out by Hong Man Choi's 7 foot long club fists, and that's pretty much all he has going for him.

fedor vs Hong Man Choi looked like one of those mexican wrestling matches where they pit a midget against a fat dude with a sombrero. It was crap, it was obvious from the begining who was gonna win.

I know I said before that Hong Man Choi sucks as a fighter, he really isn't that bad. He's actually pretty good, its just his massive size is so unfair to the competitors.

I think he'd be better if he got in better physical shape. I know all the muscle in the world can't make someone a good fighter but he just doesn't look like he's in "optimal" shape for the kind of fighting that he does.
I know its mostly due to his size, but he's pretty slow. If he could improve that a bit he'd probably do much better.
He just doesn't stand a chance against a fast fighter like Fedor, and he probably would have lasted longer if he was a bit more agile.

Fedor isn't very fast at all, just skilled.
Hong Man Choi is just a monster. He doesn't really train to be fast because he really doesn't need to. Hard to blame the guy.

Quick thoughts before I go to sleep tonight:
Liddell vs Silva
- I think this match was fixed. Seriously, AFAIK Silva is Jiu-Jiutsu expert and he just beats the crap out of the people when it goes to the ground. Maybe cause UFC doesn't allow knees when they're down and stuff like soccer kick and stomp on the ground game, but still.. after the 1st round, it was obvious Wandi had to go to the ground game and see what comes of it. It was either fixed or there's the possibility that Wandi was doing a ridiculous amount of steroids when he was fighting in PRIDE and without them he's nothing, but I really doubt that. He fought nothing like he usually did in PRIDE. I half-expected him to charge towards Chuck with a knee at the beginning of 1st round. :o
Hong-Man Choi vs Fedor
- really I think the outcome of this was obvious. If any of you may remember, ex-heavyweight PRIDE champion Antonio Nogueira (BJJ black belt) fought Semmy Schilt (also a K1 fighter, just like Choi) and Schilt was also like 7 foot and the match ended in 1st round with a foot triangle where Nogueira strangled his arm and head with his 2 feet. Classic jiu-jitsu. Fedor did similar thing on Choi. With such tall fighters, they're more prone to having their long arm submitted and Fedor was good enough to last the first 4 minutes in order to set up the submission, that's all that really mattered. Had it been a less experience fighter, it's possible they would've been knocked out (in terms of punching) by the time they set up the submission. As for Fedor, really his only true opponent as of now is Randy Couture and I'd like to see him fight Antonio Nogueira (mentioned ex-PRIDE heavyweight champion).

No way that match was fixed. Chuck is a great fighter despite his "popularity" and the way he acts.
I think both Chuck and Silva are pretty even. If they were to fight 10 times, I believe they each would win 5. It was just Chuck's night. No other way to look at it.

Maybe you're right.
Also another comment, how about Silva vs Mauricio "Shogun" Rua? :)
And also if it ever happens, this will be the biggest MMA fight in years, Fedor vs Randy Couture. :D

I don't think Shogun is up to the task :p
