Georges St-Pierre vs Matt Hughes (Interim Welterweight Title)
- both of them had this title in the past. GSP lost it to Matt Serra in January this year and Matt Hughes previously lost it to GSP.

Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell (light heavyweight)
- Silva (the axe murderer) vs Liddell (the iceman). Liddell is the ex-LHW champion of UFC and Silva was the LHW champion of Pride FC.

M-1 Global New Year's Event
Dec 31st

Main fight:

Fedor Emelenienko vs Hong Man-Choi
- Fedor had the heavyweight title in Pride FC. His record is 26-1 or something like that. He is widely considered THE best fighter in the world.
- Hong Man-Choi is a 7' 2" kickboxer from South Korea, he's mostly fought in K1. He weighs around 360lbs, whereas Fedor is 225-230lbs as far as I know.

I would too.. but not against someone double his size. Its sickening they pit these monsters against regular heavy weights. While Fedor can hold his own, he could easily be seriously injured due to the tremendous size difference.

I might watch the UFC but things might be a little hectic. I'm giving it to Silva KO by 2nd round. (Judging by the way Liddell has been fighting recently) I'll give the other bout to GSP but this one is in the air considering his lackluster performance vs Serra not too long ago.

If you can`t afford to pay for it ($40), then what you can do is:

- download it later
- go watch it a bar (which will probably charge you $10 or $15 to get to sit in their special section to watch it). I think Hooters shows UFC. (nana2)

Personally I felt Wandy won round 1 and 2... but whatever.

And I hated that Machida vs. Sokoudju fight because I like both guys and I wanted Sok to come in on a win but knew Machida was too much for him.

Just got back and was very happy with tonights bouts. GSP was incredible but I was disappointed with Wanderlei's loss. He didn't seem at home in the Octagon and while he caught Chuck with a few crushing hooks clearly flawing him in the second, he seemed to be throwing blindly most of the time. He showed great resilience though surviving an onslaught of blows late in the 2nd. He began to bob and weave and counter attack in a fashion not often seen in the UFC. A few of the undercards were quite interesting with a few messy scraps in the first hour of action.
