Quick! Tell me how to be sick tomorrow!

Okay, it's 1:15 AM here and I am trying to do my English paper that is due tomorrow. :(

I am no where near finishing it and I don't think I'll be able to finish it. I will somehow have to "convince" my parents to let me stay home tomorrow (actually today cuz it's the AM).

So, what do I do in the morning when they wake me up for school? Do I go to the bathroom and stick my toothbrush down my throat and say I threw-up? :p

I don't think any kid really ever faked out their parents on being sick, at least I know mine don't.

You might consider actually coming totally clean with your parents about it. Tell them that you were up at 1:15 too and that you posted to a board asking for advice 'cause you were so stressed, and some idiot on the other side of the globe told you to come clean about it.

If it's really stressing you out so badly you'd consider sticking something down your throat to make yourself sick, I think your parents might just be cool enough to let you stay home tomorrow as long as you agree to finish your homework (and mebbe offer to do something useful around the house as well, if they're gonna be cool you should be too! ;) ) rather than go thru the whole song-n-dance of trying to fake sick.

I know I'd respect my kid a hell of a lot more if he did that, and I'd feel I did something right as a parent that my kid could be so open and honest with me about their feelings/troubles. :)

When all else fails, the truth can work wonders.

So? Tell 'em that too. The only way this dodge will work is if you're TOTALLY honest and open about it, any less and they'll know it for a dodge.

Just tell 'em everything and ask them nicely if you can either skip or go late to school since you screwed up, and tell them you really will learn from this mistake. They might surprise you, and at least you'll know you took the high road.

Another problem is that they are already pissed off at me cuz I did really bad in English. And when they're in that mood, they're not very "agreeable." :(

Yup, I stayed home. :p

What I did was, in the morning, I went to the bathroom and started spitting saliva into the toilet, it turned out looking like weird puke. :p

Then I showed my parents, but they were VERY suspicious asking why does this stuff only happen in the morning? I said how should I know? :p

They were very pissed but let me stay home. :D
