Ive noticed one of the cards is PCI-E and the other is PCI! would there be any differnce in sound or performance between the two, the PCI-E has more\bigger bandwith!

They are both the same as for as features ,but I would go with the PCIe1x because it has more bandwidth and you can use one of those little slots.

Neither of those cards have a x-fi chip, they use an audigy chip. look for an x-fi gamer in PCIe form.

However ive heard some reviews about people having issues with the SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer and vista x64(lockups\games crashing ect)! ... does anybody know anything about this?

Thanks.

possible.. alot of things still get issues with x64 windows time to time. Its not really a gamer OS yet. If you are looking for max compatibility, run a 32bit installation.

I would have grabbed a good sound card :p Like a HT claro or striker.. Maybe a prelude...
