I have an LACIE Design by F.A. Porsche 301103U 500GB 7200 RPM External Hard Drive. Its FAT32. Can i reformat it to NTSF without screwing it up? Is it supposed to be FAT32?

If your reformat then you lose everything. BACK UP everything that you want to save (Everything, lol) and then format.
Just be careful, when you reformat it's BOOM-Headshot.

Yeah, it's definitely safe. :D
Just make sure that after you put it into NTFS that you use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option in Windows. This is because NTFS uses what's known as journaling, which keeps track of changes in the Master File Table. If you simply disconnect it it might not sync up correctly and corrupt the MFT.

Thanks for the info
If the drive is empty then reformat but if you got some stuff on it just convert it
ie: convert e: /fs:ntfs in command prompt
