I asked exact same question in win xp driver section but got no answer. It is weird that nobody notices that almost all new games that was having sli profile has only now single gpu in usage. But hey 3dmark has working sli profile HEY LETS PLAY THAT wait no you cant... WAKE UP NVIDIA WHAT A HELL IS GOING ON?:(

I never plan to use sli until the full potential of the technology is realized by nvidia, its still immature in my eyes, and i dont think that you gain enough performance to justify the cost.

If you got extra money to waste...then SLI it is. I prefer to save my electric bill though and lose a few frames.

I've been running SLI for about 9 months now. Some games (inc. Crysis) get an almost 100% boost in FPS with SLI. It is overkill for many games, but in others you can run maxed out with v-sync on, which is great.

I don't know WTF is going on with the CP settings but it seems to be working fine.

I run all my games maxed out (with the exception of Crysis) on a single 8800GTX with V-Sync on just fine. Just make sure to use the triple buffering utility from Riva tuner.

So, SLI is broken?

its a bug in the way it displays, sli is actually working it just doesnt display in the cp.
Check out nvidia's sli forum its been a known bug for awhile if you change from the nvidia reccomended single card setting you will lose the custom setting so don't worry about it, it is working just not displaying properly.

SLI comes in real handy at 2560x1600 res

I think if I was using higher resolutions, not 1440 x 900, I might be a litle more interested in sli, but at the moment it's just not for me.

IMO SLI isnt worth it unless your on something bigger than a 24"LCD as a single 8800GTX will still handle that res fine with the exception of Crysis which you would of course have to tone down a bit.

Im on a 22"lcd myself and used to be SLI but man it just wasnt neccessary for even 1680X1050. However seeing Oblivion run at over 60 FPS in the thick of the forest and grass with 16XAA was quite a treat!

One 8800gts(g92) is good enough for my needs, anything better, i.e. gtx or ultra, would have been a waste between my mild cpu bottleneck, and the low resolution that I use. Come Feburary though, i might have a tough decision, my step up is good until march. I am either going to by a second gts, or buy one of the new d9p, (p stands for performance right, like the gt or gts?) anyway thats w while away.

How about , both cards are being used as a "Single GPU"(lee63)
