Will an 8800GTS 512MB do fine for 1920x1080 gaming? I was just playing CoD:4 and F.E.A.R. on my TV will everything set to max and I get around 50FPS. Will the 8800GTS help any more?

Um, by a huge amount. Especially for titles like Crysis.

My buddy has his computer hooked up to his 42" high def TV. Plays at 1920x1080 and it looks unbelievable. :p Can't wait to try Crysis on it. :D

Mine is 42" and I saw a huge difference, not literally by size, but the way the games look. CoD:4 looked unbelievable.

I just played crysis last night on our projector. It was crazy you actually thought you were really inside the game or watching a movie. Uber realism

Oh yea... COD4 looks amazing @ 1920x1080 or 1920x1200... It's a breathtaking experience.

My 8800 GTX runs the game great at that res, so an 8800 GTS 512mb should be able to do the same.

The 256 memory bus will make the GTS 512 slower at such a high res compared to the GTX. Check out some GTS 512 reviews.

EDIT: Just been looking and the GTS512 is very good at higher res. but the GTX pulls away when you start putting AA & AF on at that res.

I had max AA and max AF and it was such a smooth game. I can't wait for my parts!!
