Dell Vostro 1700 ?

Hi,

I just got a Dell Vostro 1700, & I was thinking about upgrading it to 4GBs of the RAM, but I only see 1 slot of 1GB RAM being used, how is there 2GBs in the PC?

Happy new year guy.

I checked Dell Vostro 1700 service manual, of course your laptop got 2GB, one 1GB stick from beneath keyboard (top of motherboard) and another 1GB stick from bottom of laptop (bottom of motherboard).

Here guide how you can remove 2 x 1GB sticks and install 2 x 2GB sticks.
