I just purchased a new XBOX 360 Wireless joy-stick black. I also downloaded the latest drivers for the hardware device. How do I enable it for games like
Gears of War? I'm assuming that the joy-stick will only work with Games for Windows or will it work for any game besides that? I have not been able to get it to work for anything yet and would likw some
direction in this area please. I need to know how to enable first off then make it work for other games on my computer.

they are sold separately as well. black controllers don't come with it.
this is first time that i come a cross someone that thinks that a wireless device (transmitter) will simply work without a receiver.

I didn't see this in retail stores fool! I looked the day I purchased the wireless joy-stick so I assumed it would only work via USB but now I know I'll need the wireless gaming receiver for windows. I'll have it in a couple of days for sure.

Mate, I've found people that think that wireless internet works without an ISP. People need wires to stay sane.

did you just expect windows to sense the wireless controller? :wtf:

well... in his defense... the charge kit does plug into the wireless controller via USB. then again, i think all it does is charge it, i dont think it carries any info :p

USB Joy-sticks normally work and can be detected in windows once the drivers and such are installed. Then you an set up the profiles on the joy-stick per game title in many cases. My Logitech Rumble Pad 2 did this and worked perfectly until I sold it in place of the 360 Joy-stick. So a newer device requires more then the I tought. Cool! problem fixed! This is not a debate I just didn't know that I had to buy more ***** LMAO!

The 360 has 2 usb ports on the front. The wired guitar hero controllers plug in there. Actually I think it has one on the back too.
The two on the front are behind this flap:

Right, I know that already.
Why do you put a hyphen between joy and stick?
