Does Vga Fit Svga?

Hi, i have an hp pavilion mx70 monitor with a 15 pin VGA slot. I was wondering, since im getting a new video card, does a standard 15 pin SVGA work with a 15 pin VGA slot?

Please tell me WHAT SVGA AND VGA IS!!?? and please tell me DOES A 15 PIN VGA MONITOR CORD PLUG INTO A 15 PIN SVGA VIDEO CARD SLOT????!!!!

You see the thing is, most people look at ONLY 1 area like General Hardware. I know i do, i only look at one single area.

So to get MORE information FASTER, with MORE people answering, to me its better to post in different sections.
