According to NordicHardware (http://www.nordichardware.com/news,7158.html).

Great news for some people, hope it's true :D

Really intel should make those new procs able to run on any 680i with all this time they have now. Otherwise they are just wasting peoples time and money not doing that.

You're right, the should, but then again Intel and Nvidia aren't exactly on good terms, considering the whole SLI license deal. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed nothing just out of spite.

On a different note, theres nothing on the DFI forum about a beta bios in the works, not to say there isn't one, but seems like it wouldn't hurt to let some of their customers know... I'm curious as to how NordicHardware came across this information.

They are working on it. 1.4beta bios, the one I'm running now is part of that effort, which incidentally also fixes the snap-crackle-pop issue when using 4gb ram and Sli with an X-Fi card :D

It seems any of the non-reference mobo's may be capable of supporting 45nm quads via a bios update.

If they can get them to support the Yorkfield I bet they'll still be crap at OCing.

Hardly, Nvidia chipsets are garbage and need to die. They should stick to what they do best. GPU's, sell the SLI license to Intel and watch them sell twice as many GPU's which would pull in more revenue for Nvidia.
