I got my new LG Hybrid Blu-Ray/HD DVD drive and was trying to play a movie but ended up getting error messages instead which is BS!!!! Please review attachments....WTF?
My 30" Dell Ultrasharp Model: 3007WFP-HC is HDCP compliant...it even says so on Dell's website. I'm also using a Belkin 24-Pin Dual-Link DVI Cable it's the best you can buy for a Dual-Link DVI cable besides an HDMI cable....WFT?
I'm using TweakForce Extreme-G Performance NVIDIA drivers other then that I don't know what to say........ I even disabled SLI and that didn't even fix the (&^$^%# problem.

Dual-Link DVI and HDCP is the problem. Only the 8500 and 8600 low end cards can transmit HDCP signal over dual-link DVI connection. 8800 series can't.

Oh my god that's really (&*^*&^$ stupid so buy a cheaper card and you get all HD streamed on you're computer but wait the 8800 Ultra cost double but yet can't do HD what the hell? The LG drive says it support the 8800 GTX!!!
That would also include the Ultra. I know there's got to be some kind of fix. That's ass backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll get this ***** fixed watch!

The GTX and Ultra can do HDCP over single-link DVI. Not sure about the newer G92 GPUs

It's not a fix man, a single link will only display at an inferior res on that monitor...

Still I think the 3007 is a fantastic computer monitor, just don't use it for anything else.

The 3008 will change it. It has HDMI inputs, displayports, and plus everything else you find on the lower models.

So what monitor on the market is better then Dell's Ultrasharp 30'? I want to know? I want to stick with 30" and I also want to get 2560 X 1600 and maybe even 5ms response times. Give me some monitor suggestion besides gateway. I want a kick ass 30" LCD computer monitor that offers HDCP over a dual link 24-pin DVI-Cable on my 8800 Ultra SLI setup. Speak!!!!!! hp? Samsung? Apple?

Nice, hope this works at 1080p with a single link connection.

Will it work with a dual link belkin DVI Cable? Put simple, will it comply with HDCP over my Belkin Dual link 24-pin DVI Cable? Single Link isn't better then a dual link.

Not sure. Haven't seen any user feedback so far.
I'd guess it works, at least over HDMI.

Extensive Connectivity – Seven connection options: VGA, DVI-D with HDCP, HDMI, S-Video, Component, Composite and DisplayPort give you a wide range of connection options. DVI-D!!! with HDCP that would mean yes it supports HDCP offer a dual-link DVI cable.

Not necessarily. DVI-D is not Dual Link DVI.

I'm talking with Dell now before I even play my order.

It's not your monitor, it's your video card that can't output HDCP signal over dual-link. You need new video cards.

Then why does EVGA have on the retail of the EVGA 8800 Ultra is HDCP Compliant? Are they trying to say that it is via S-Video is HDCP Compliant? I decided not to get that monitor..thanks! please advise?

no the ultra just like the gtx is HDCP compatible just not beyond a certine ress it would seam. DVI is good to 1920x1200 I believe then dVI-D is used but on the 30incher its always DVI-D or some ****
