I just built my very first computer and installed xp pro and when it booted to the desktop everything was completely different. It seems like it never installed internet explorer, the desktop was just plain blue (different from the standard backround), start menu was all different, along with many other things. I was wondering, do i have to install something to get all those to appear like the disc the motherboard came with or something else. This is weird because my brother used this disc to install his xp, because he lost his disc, and it worked fine. Does anyone know what could cause this?
