Only 30% faster? Lame. Need alot more power than that.

That was my first impression too. :/ Seriously though wasn't this card going to be like 3 times the performance of the 8800gtx? Hmm...

Two GPUs? I suspect that 30% figure will increase as drivers become better.

Honestly I'm rather pleased it's not a huge bunch faster. I just built my 8800 GT gaming rig a few weeks ago, I don't need it obsolete already.

It doesn't look very appealing...

Actually something to consider with that design is where does the airflow? Notice the DVI connectors in the middle of the card; I wonder if air vent to either side or if it doesn't go out the back at all.

I'll pass. I really want a fresh new top off the line GPU at launch one day, but I want it all on one pcb.

I like it. It has a nice, clean professional look to it.

As for the performance... meh, as long as it means the 8800 will be slightly cheaper upon it's arrival, I'm happy :D .

Maybe it will knock down the 8800's price enough for me to go SLI :)

This is the crap that happens when there is no real competition... 30% increase? Thats not much at all... expecially as it will probably cost a ton of money to get :(

I hate to see what kids nVidia raise when they put this little effort into their cards.

This isn't powerful enough. And that is one fugly card!

no one has seen benchmarks yet so we shouldn't predict anything... i say 30% increase is large enough.

Agreed. Bad for technological advance, but good for longevity of older cards like the 8800s. :)

What about DX 10.1? Did anyone forget that or something? :|

Also, seeing everyone's comments about this. I feel little better to push my tight budget off of my back. :p I was going to get Q9450 then G98.

Except when devs get the bright idea to make games for hardware which it appears, may not arrive for another 6-12 months!

2 65nm 8800 gpu's on one card?? I'll go with 2 8800 GT's before buying one of those. Also, why are they calling it a 9800 if all it is is die shrunk 8800's ??

This sucks. Where's our teraflop card? :thumbdwn:
