Hello All,

I am receiving my new EVGA 8800 GTS 512 today. I currently have an EVGA 7600GT that is running on the 169.25 drivers.

My question is that since both cards use the same drivers, is there anything special that I need to do to install?

Can I just delete the device in Device manager, shutdown, install the new card and then reboot?

Thanks for your help.

That's what I'd do :)

I always uninstall the drivers - swap cards - reinstall drivers. Just to be sure :p

7600GT to a 8800GTS is a hell of a jump. You're gonna love it!

You honestly don't even need to do that. When the old card isn't present windows will hide the device. I usually just pull the old card and and put the new one in as long as the drivers will work.

When I took out my old 8800GTS's and put my GT's in I had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
