Well like most of you with a Laptop, using the nVIDIA Ge Force 4 chipset, and wanting to either test or us the Redhat AS 2.1 X is not starting.
Well after reading all of your errors and suggestions and all, I was looking at my config and had noticed one thing as odd. My X was out of date. So I went to xfree.org and downloaded the latest x server compiled it and ran Xconfigurator and low and behold, straight out of the box X was working :)
So if your still having problems, try to update X to the latest version, that helped me, and I have a Dell Latitude C840.
Good luck guys.
