My GF4 Ti4200 died last night, and I was looking into buying the Sapphire ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. I researched a bit, and found that it will output to a tv at 1024x768, but I was wondering if it uses "dual view" or not. What I mean by that, is when you output to the TV, do you still have your desktop at the resolution it was at before? Let my try to explain this better... hmm... My gf4 card made it so that my TV was an extension of my desktop. I could drag a window off the edge of the screen and it would appear on the TV. My monitor was running at 1600x1200, and my tv at 640x480. Well I was wondering if i could do the same thing with the 9500 Pro, or will it be like my old gf3 card, and the monitor turns off when i output to a tv. I know i could use tvtool to get around this, but then my monitor is at 640x480 as well, and above all, it pisses me off when my icons are all messed up

If anybody has a 9500 Pro and uses the TV Out feature, which, i believe everyone should, could you help me out with this?

thanks ahead of time!!

Ati cards use Hydra vision, which some says is better than dualhead, if that answers your question
