View Full Version : What is going on with my Ti 4400??? Please help!(Pic included)
Please see this pic... Ti 4400 lines (http://home.attbi.com/~davido/wsb/html/view.cgi-image.html--graphic.html)
I am getting these vertical lines all of the sudden. The card wont boot completely into windows when I have the nvidia reference drivers...
Did this card just die? Should I update the BIOS of the card... It is a Visiontek Ti 4400... Is there even any warranty for those cards anymore?
Thanks!
looks like bad memory on the video card to me, but i might be wrong. Maybe you could try flashing the card's bios. Unfortunetly i couldn't find a Visiontek bios, but I did find Gainward TI4400 (http://ftp2.gainward.com/lan/nvidia/bios/geforce4/ti4400/vni1460p.exe) and Albatron TI4400 (ftp://ftp.albatron.com.tw/Driver/VGA_Card/BIOS/Ti4400_Series/Ti4400/ti44m2si.zip)
wish i could help more

My 4400 did the same thing, I rma'd it and got a 9700pro instead.
Creedamd, when you RMA'd it how old was the card? Did they send you a replacement?

ya RMA is when they replace it (sometimes with a new revision or version) and its only good if they cant find proof of you messing with the cooling or overclocking (ya right...)
The key is to communicate with your mfrs support. usually email (Tyan has a phone. some other class-acts as well) and they can first help diagnose the problem, email you patches, and lastly send you an RMA form and initiate the process to replace that bizitch
warrantees are usually 3-5 yrs and require a reciept of purchase.
check your cables too. in the back of that monitor, if the VGA cable isnt secured right, that can cause anomolies that look like satan has eaten your video card.
if you been messing with video cooling, check that its secure and pasted proper or else your gonna have a bad time. it might work and yet show artifacts on screen.
lastly, if the issue is just in 3d, make sure that using BLOCK TRANSFER mode if theres a page-flip option
good luck

the card was a couple of months old, it was the leadtek, Newegg was out of the card so refunded the money.
