Warhammer online and Warhammer 40k are 2 diff things.
I could be wrong, but I think 40k is scheduled to come out next year.

In order to be successful, they must hit the bar that Blizzard set when they made WoW. It must have customizability. It also better run well on average systems and come out with balance in mind. Nobody wants to play an MMO where they are the 'weak' class. WoW isn't perfect, but it is the best out of all of them I have tried. It has some of it all.

not going even begin to speculate who will be better. Somewhere at sometime since every mmo has been released after wow, someone has claimed it to be the "wow killer".

I'll wait till its released. meanwhile if you want to play an rpg now..why not pickup wow?

Im not sure if you were replying to me...
But yeh, I already do play wow, have done for quite some time.

I think its going to be interesting when WH online does come out though, just to see the comparison.

I have seen footage on youtube of gameplay.....its almost exactly the same as wow.
Funny that.

I think it also will need to be much more user friendly.....
I remeber when I first started playing wow, I had no idea idea what I was doing, and there wasnt really much guidance ingame either.

I have heard a lot of complaints from ppl that wow is not an easy game to pick up and go with straight away.

I think vandalous' comment was in reference to the possibility that Magus has played the beta.

Out of all the MMOs, WoW is the easiest to pick-up. All it takes is some reading of quest dialogs, learning your skills, and just looking around.

After playing WOW for so long I really want to try out WAR (as they short it, WH: age of reconing).
Dunno if itīll be better, but I hope so..

Me and a buddy had some discussions on how a major problem in WOW is that when you think about it, PVP seems like a afterthought.
Most classes have separate PVE and PVP talent builts, and gear.. IMO ideal would be if you didnt have to choose, you just got better gear and different talent builts, but they all were equally viable in PVP as in PVP.

WAR seems very PVP oriented so Im hoping it will be a bit better with that sort of stuff in mind.
And if it isnt, well, there are always more WOW expansions hehe.

I really hope they pull it off with the 40K MMO that is in the works, there is SO much potential in that universe so they should be exiled to the moon if they mess it up.

I'm really hoping WAR is a better PVP game than WOWs lackluster offering of arenas and BGs. I imagine levelling wont be as much of a grind since you gain xp through PVP as well.

I check my email daily in the hopes of getting an invite to the beta. Even with 3 WOW toons at 70 I'm starting to find the game boring.

Beta access is closed right now, they only have internal testers right now. They said they will reactivate testers accounts come Feb.

The in-game videos I've seen of WH online so far indicate awkward character animations and non-engaging combat scenes. I'm still keeping an eye on it, though.

The beta they had going last year was VERY early... im talking half the races and classes only available... quest and dialogs were all missing or just plain broken aswell as animations not working properly.

I remember fighting without actually animating at all.

Mag has been playing Warhammer Online BETA for some time.

That is what I noticed. The characters had stubby legs and stubby arms. It just looked odd.

Currently I've given up the wow habit. Been playing some lotro a few times a week. It's a rather underlooked good game. It's sad i know but i have been playing it till war comes out. And sadder is i am kinda hoping that war will force blizzard to really create territory control pvp like they first promised during wows closed beta. If blizzard doesn't then i'll prolly stick to lotro for my 'questing' and war for my pvp, and perma retire my 70s.
