I just bought a copy of vista and installed it, updated all the graphics drivers, downloaded all the vista updates and restarted. After about a few restarts into vista It would not start. After the vista boot screen it displayed a screen full of black, white and gray squares and would not go any farther. What would cause this? Bad video drivers. I got the 169.28 graphics drivers for vista x64 which is the newest out. Thanks in advance for your help.
Can you get in under safe mode? If so I would try uninstalling/reinstalling/rolling back the driver.

I have the newest video driver 169.28 should i try an older version? I have tried reformatting twice and installed the same driver and the problem still occurred. So something is causing this. What do you think I should do?

i have a feeling its your RAM, you have anything o/c? default RAM and try again.. that RAM could have caused by a OS update... if RAM doesnt work default your whole BIOS settings to default and try again.
also you could try the VGA card in a diff PCI-x slot

I tried swapping out Ram and problem still occured. My computer is running on default settings with nothing overclocked. I have tried to set my bios to default and problem reoccurs. Its kinda weird that if I start vista in safe mode then reboot without changing anything It will work once until I restart. Then I gotta do it all over again. I cant change the GPU to a different PCI-E slot because I only have one PCI X16 slot. What should I try next?

You happen to have a spare VGA card? perhaps you can visit the GIGABYTE forum to see if anyone has the same issue with this motherboard?
