You should be getting better FPS with two Ultras. It was totally playable with SLI'd GT's for me once I installed the 169.25 drivers. 25-60FPS with everything on Very High exept for High Post Processing and no AA.

All the patch did for me was make the cut scenes alot smoother. Very little DX10 improvement. Saying that, DX9 was a bit better. I could go to Very High PP in DX9.

What res are you running though?

Perhaps it was the FW when Crysis was first released, and the first build of Crysis, that made the game moved like a slideshow. I tried Very High with thoise resolution and it rendered the game nearly unplayable. I had to tone it down to 1078x**** just to get 25-30 fps sometimes, though it became a slideshow with many things going on in the screen.

Now, with the latest FW and the new patch, I bumped up the graphic details to High/Very High @ 1600-1200 resolution and while it isn't exactly smooth as butter, it's getting there. I'm now quite happy. :)

No, they are still at factory speeds. I've thought about OC'ing them, but the PC runs hot as it is, so I decided against it. For now there's no need to, since Crysis is running perfectly.

And yes, I heard for some people the patch didn't help. I'm not sure what it could be. It's perhaps because I did something wrong before to get the abysmal performance that I did with this rig.

I decided to play this game again after the patch... this time using DX9.0 mode and the 64-Bit BIN file in Vista 64-bit. Last time I played was pre-patch and on Vista 32-bit in DX10 mode. I must say... I am getting an average of about 25~30 FPS in most places (much higher in some places and a little lower in others).... fun and smooth :) Probably about 5FPS more than I was getting the first time I played through this game.

From the built-in benchmarks & little actual gameplay i've gained nothing from the patch. (yep i'm playing on DX9 High).
