Renaming all my video files back to the original ".sfd" fixed my patch install issues, I had them disabled as ".old". It still took a long time, but it did finish...no error anymore. Same error both Vista32 and XP, fixed both the same way.

Reinstalled, installed patch, works fine now. Game runs better than before, but not during huge firefights. :p

I renamed the videos back and it still wouldn't install... figured it wasn't worth it so I just uninstalled/reinstalled -- fixed everything, obviously, so if you can't get it to install and don't want to poke around trying to find the problem, just reinstall.

You might have forgotten one, inside the Video folder is an English folder that had one more video...but you got it working anyway.

http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?postid=115924#post115924.

CRYSIS - PATCH INSTALLATION ISSUES (DVD & EA Download Manager)

1. Error 1334

* Don’t uncheck Punkbuster installation – it is required for the patch.
* Manually revert back to original files:
..\Crysis\Game\Localized: different language .pak file (use the standard langauge .pak you have when installing the game)
..\Crysis\Game\Localized\Video: put back all videos/trailers that have been removed before
..\Crysis\Game\Config\: modified .cfg files (use the standard .cfg files delivered with Crysis)
..\Crysis\Game\Config\CVarGroups: modified .cfg files (use the standard .cfg files delivered with Crysis)
..\Crysis\Game\: modified .pak files (use the standard .pak files delivered with Crysis)
* Repair Crysis installation

2. "Insert Disk: Crysis DVD" error

* Turn off virtual tools such as Daemon Tools
* Repair Crysis installation
* Re-Install Crysis

3. “Patch package could not be opened” error

* Verify you have downloaded an official/non corrupt version of the Patch 1.1
* Right click on Patch .exe file and execute as Administrator

5. “File *** could not be found”

* No workaround available at the moment.

CRYSIS MULTIPLAYER - ONLINE ISSUES

1. “Server Authentication Error” – Explanations
There is always a number behind your error message. Following is a list of what these numbers stand for:

* Wrong server password = (1)
* Punkbuster error = (2) (check if you have Punkbuster enabled and/or updated to the latest available version)
* CDKey check failed = (3)
* Not logged in = (4)

CRYSIS EDITOR - ISSUES
If there are any new crashes or other weird problems occurring please post them here.

CRYSIS - GENERAL ISSUES

1. Singleplayer save games broken

* Be sure to not use a Crysis crack since this is definitely not support and causes issues with your save games.
* Please post your dxdiag and game.log (with log_verbosity 8) in this thread.

2. 64-bit Crysis.exe & Editor.exe cannot be execute anymore

* Try to uninstall NVidia’s Network Access Manager.

BTW, Patch installed without any problems even without Punkbuster (XP). ;)

Same here after a reinstall. I accidentally deleted the videos I pulled from it earlier. :o

Had not modified any ini files, nor removed the videos, and the patch did not install.

Reinstalled game from scratch, and the patch then installed (running as Administrator).

Am running Vista Ultimate.

If your cursor is all fubar in the menus, switch out of full screen and back using Alt-Enter and it works correctly. I also got this same issue without the patch, so not patch related.

Game seems to run smoother, but I got slightly LOWER scores running the GPU benchmark with DX9 than I did with DX10! Go figure :)

DX10, 1680x1050, No AA, High
-----------------------------
Min=18.97, Max=35.10, Avg=29.08

DX9, 1680x1050, No AA, High
----------------------------
Min=16.95, Max=35.44, Avg=27.57

Other benchmarks:

DX10, 1680x1050, 2xAA, High
----------------------------
Min=13.90, Max=30.04, Avg=24.58

DX10, 1680x1050, No AA, Very High
----------------------------------
Min=9.45, Max=19.47, Avg=17.40

DX10, 1680x1050, No AA, Low
-----------------------------
Min=60.23, Max=135.49, Avg=90.06

DX10, 1680x1050, No AA, Medium
--------------------------------
Min=31.20, Max=71.53, Avg=51.36

Am running 169.25.
