Could do with some in game benchies. The ATIs cards are poor with 3DM06.
Cheers though :D
Am I right in thinking that SM3 score is about on par with a GTX/GTS-512?
EDIT: Just realised that's in Vista, so it's probably a very good score. XP benchies would be even higher.

Thats also 2560x1600. Thats a really nice score.
The score is also held back by the cpu. Its running at 2.4Ghz

I wish a very strong ATI/AMD this year. We need the competition.
What is "3dmark"? I remember many, many, many years ago there used to be something called that, but it was still relevant at the time. Is this same 3dmark that people actually gave a damn about 10 years ago?
:p

Nope, this 3dmark is integrated into your head so that when you click on the button to get the scores, it actually lowers the score thus making you feel more pathetic about your hardware... sneaky bastards...
How's that score figure if the test was run at the standard 3DMark settings? (15k, 18k, more, ?)

Probably around 25k I would think. 2560x1600 is roughly 3 times larger than 1280x1024
2560x1600= 4096000 pixels
1280x1024= 1310720 pixels
1310720x3= 3932160 pixels
3932160 is only about 160000 piexls short of 2560x1600 res.
BTW, that 25k score is taking into account that the CPU would show no increase in performance, and that would hamper the overall score a little.

Hadn't noticed that. This could be almost up with the 9800GX2, but it's all down to the drivers. I hope this card is a success for ATI.
Nice! for something under $500 this card could be awesome!
I bet it'll be more like $400. What's the non-X2, about $250?

More good news.
CES 2008: Shocker
We've seen a few R680 running and we can confirm that each card was incredibly cold during Call of Duty 4 or any other game or operation.
We've expected that air will be way hotter but we've been told that Power Play helps these chips a lot, especially in idle mode.
Still don't expect a passive cooler it is a dual slot card but I am quite sure that it should be cooler than single slot single G92 8800GT. We've expected more heat from it but I guess RV670 is really mild one.

the card is also clocked at 770/2250MHz. Ill probly hit 950/2600 on water.

That's good news indeed. If only the Intel BadAxe supported Quad-CrossFire. :(

It does with two of these cards. Or it is quad crossfire with 2.

That's one major advantage of a single PCB, dual GPU card. NVidia could learn from this.
It is yahooooge though.

It's quad with 4 GPU's. Which ever way you do it.

So I will be able to run two of these cards with the Intel BadAxe mobo?
