ya but the HD-DVD stops being supported halfway through the movie,

Cheaper in the UK @ $350 ,Thats unheard of !!!!!
I seen them for $275 and the BD only is $200! 399 is just stupid I don't know where you guys shop at :headexplode:

Thats more like it.
I remember when I got the first Sony DVD burner that did both formats. I think it was a DRU500 or something. It was over $300 when I bought it. Within a couple months, they were under $100. I recently gave it away in a repair job I did. Now, you can get dual layers that are much faster for $30. There's no way I'm buying into this thing early.

Sony has a Blu-Ray DVD drive coming out Feb. 11th for $200! I'm keeping my eye on that one just in case. ;)
Pioneer already has one at 200 :p

no, ROM only, can't burn anything, not even a CD
for 200 bucks its way over priced, since for 250 you can find LG GGC-H20L.
GGC-H20L can burn DVD/CD and read both HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Even if HD-DVD looses, its still good being able to read both formats.
