i got twinview and my card to work fine but i would like to set the monitor for a program...
someone told me to add --display 0.1 or 0.2
but that doesnt work...
i attached my config..
Myself and a lot of other people have been having a lot of trouble getting TwinView to work. If you wouldn't mind, could you post your System/OS/Driver specs? Or if you are running the new driver, please post how you got it to work?
This would be much much much appreciated.. thanks.
Oh... and what do you mean configure a monitor for an application? Do you mean to have one monitor only run one type of application? I'm confused. Please clarify and I'll see what I can come up with.

my system:
ich have a p4 cpu
gforce4 mx
im using redhat and the driver from nvidia.com
i downloaded it, startet the file an changed my XF86Config
i have a desktop displayed on two monitors, so i have a bigger workarea (no clone-mode!!!)
i have my own "system":
my mail-prog, chats and file-management is allways on the left monitor an browser and the rest on the right monitor...
all applications start on the left monitor..
first, what version of the driver do you have? new one? or 4191 or before?
Anyway, I have an idea for your 'system'. For me, applications tend to start on the monitor that I last ran them from or shut them down in, I forget which. I am pretty sure that if you keep running/shutting down all your applications in your secondary monitor, you will see them being opened there. Other than that, there may be an x/y offset that you can start the programs with. Check their man files and edit your menu accordingly. I'll check mine and see if I can find a way to specify a coordinate for opening.
