Time for a reformat on the other HD and clean install of Vista x64 with the new SP1. Not really expecting much but we'll give 'er a go anyways.

Well, SP1 RTM is around the corner, so I gonna wait :)

Received an update yesterday prior to SP1 and a new build, so ...

The sad thing is, even if the SP is ready MS is likely to hold off until Feb 28383 or whatever when Server 08 releases. ****ers. I'd really like to be able to slipstream/technet a copy with it integrated so I can upgrade two systems.

Yeah, February 28th is what I read somewhere. I'm just impatient and having an anti-MS day. I'll be better tomorrow.

LOL that wasn't even my quote HAHA.

I used SP1 for about a week. It wasn't bad some things were improved like the networking but I still had issues. Sometimes it wouldn't see my network at all... we'll see if this build is any better.

360 controller ticked you off a bit?

360 controller ticked you off a bit?

That further pissed me off, but no...

The REAL reason I hate MS today is because of the behavior of Sysprep with XP SP2 and the use of Default Profiles. I made a DP just like I wanted it, ran the HOTFIX from MS to FIX thier "feature" of Sysprep overwriting DPs, then still ran into an issue with the IE icon propagating on the Default User desktop just for the hell of it after Syspreping the machine.

I really hope we can slipstream SP1 to our RTM, as I did with XP and SP2 and Office 2007 and SP1
