View Full Version : What's with AA? (169.25 driver)

I've been trying to force AA in a couple of games (Warcraft 3 mainly and a few other older games), and AA doesn't seem to be working at all using the global nor the game profile settings. Games with their own AA setting works normally though.

Is this a common issue with the 169.25 driver? Should I additionally use other options to force AA? If it's a common issue, what driver version you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Running a 8800GT and Vista32 here.

I don't think it's just that driver right now. I didn't seem to be able to force AA with the 169.28s either, now I'm back to the 163.75s and all looks well.

What was funny is I seemed to have the performance hit, but I still had bad jaggies.

Yeah, I've read a few posts regarding broken AA with the latest drivers (169's). Shame, my old Ti4200 AA settings used to work flawlessly in every single game I tried. Nvidia seems to be slacking in the drivers department lately.

Yep, not to mention a few bsods and hardlocks. I'm beginning to miss my old 7800GT SLI set up. Never a problem.

Ah well, the price of progress.
