Ok, here is the dilemma. In the office there are three computers. Two have Windows 2000 and one has Windows 98 SE. We just got DSL and the modem is also a 4 port router. All three can connect to the internet and they all see each other on the network. The two computers with Windows 2000 have passwords, but the third does not. The 2 Win2000 computers can share files with all three computers BUT the 3rd Win98 computer can't access the othe 2 Win2000 computer. They are visible on the network from the Win98 computer but is prompted for a password when trying to access one of the Win2000 computers. I put in the password for the Win2000 computers (the password needed to log on), which are the same but the computer says that the password is invalid. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem? Also, the Windows 2000 computers have to reset their passwords every 12 days, how can this be fixed? Thanks for any help given.
