Use Rivatuner if you can, I have that set to apply the settings at startup.

RivaTuner FTW. That's what I'm using myself. Been wanting to try 650/1800/2000, just haven't had the guts nor time to give it a go. :o

Thanx guys, I have Rivatuner 2.06 but it gives me no options for OCing like it did with my Ultras WTF :headexplode:

Are you using a set of drivers RT recognizes? Between that and new card, that may be the reason.

You could give Expertool a go, works nicely with my GTS.

I'm using 169.28, your prolly right about the new card.

This is how you get RivaTuner to work with G92s http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php?p=5422343&postcount=47 it seems to work so far :D

Yep, its working (lee63) but should I mess with the shader clock ?? will it give me more performance ??

Lee, are you on 2 G92 GTS now?

I haven't overclocked mine yet, (G80 GTS) but I understand ocing the shader can add a nice bump, downside, from reading up on it, is a pretty high increase in heat output.

I know quite a few here have played lots with the shader clocks, I'm sure someone will jump in with that pretty quick.

EDIT: "780" holy crap! :D

Lee, are you on 2 G92 GTS now? Yeah, I got tired of spending so much cash on the high end cards, I'm also running 1680x1080 res, the smaller monitor doesn't bother that much.

Ok cool. But why not a single card system with 1 highend card and an Intel chipset?

True very nice OC :D

True very nice OC :DI'm all ready in line for a 780i, it was only $90.

Hey lee63... I run my 8800GTS @ 720/1800/2000 ( core/shader/mem ) for everyday use.
Max stable has been 800/2050/2200 http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=1506921&postcount=900
The shaders really do make all the difference.... core overclock is no where near as important as shader as they bottleneck the core.
Lets see some great numbers.

Hey Delbert - so if the core is raised unlinked from the shaders the shaders are still bottlenecking it? And it would be the same issues to watch for as ocing the core - artifacts, temps, stability etc?

Thanks..

i can only quote from my experiments... I tried 780/2000/2200 ( core/shader/mem) got a 3DM06 of 16379... moved to 800/2000/2200 and got the same... only managed to improve when i moved the shaders to 2050.... 16499... :D
Artifacts, temps etc all come in to it.... in my opinion, the G92 GTS needs a reliable Volt mod to unleash it... there is so much left in it with the right cooling setup.

I may look at changing the cooler if the next gen is delayed ( or disappoints ).

Holy crap lee,i looked at that link :

hope you don't mind VJ.

Edit: Reboot, my clocks are in my sig for my GTS. I think my results are fairly typical, and these clocks are rock-solid stable as far as I can tell.

Insane clocks with the standard cooler, what would a GTX score with a similarly cpu ?

So far I got my Galaxy 8800gts 512 runnin at 800 core and 2150 mem. fan speeds are at 70%. I can tolerate the noise at that setting.
