Neverwinter Nights is amazing, but I don't have the time right now to play it.

I'm in a FB squad that flys full real and am having to study maps and map coordinate orientation using compass so it's taking most of my time when I don't work ;)

I have a track I use to bench my squads hardware. If you enjoy flying then pick it up ;)

Looking to get a TackIR unit soon too ;)

If you'd like we can bench it.

I can run you through it

Rogozhin,

Never once did I single you out as one of the people I was talking about. Nor did I imply that I was talking about you. You asked what was wrong with attacking the gfFX and I gave you a perfectly valid answer.

And I never said YOU were attacking it either.

I never once asked what was wrong with attacking the FX. I stated that the FX was getting "nailed" in its aa and af reviews.

Then you said this.

" If the purpose of the thread is to "nail" the gfFX then again, post away."

So

I assumed this was directed at me since you quoted my post.

If not I stand corrected. If you did then shame on you ;)

Use raven shield for now.

I have rallisport challenge but It's the full game so I'd rather not bench against that.

We need to decide on a map to bench with raven shield, which one do you think is the most graphics intensive?

It will be a mulitplayer map that you make. I haven't passed all the level to be able to make a custom mission outside of multiplayer.

Should we use the LA map, the training map, or something else?

Okay

If we bench using FRAPS you HAVE to assign a hotkey to "enable manual logging to frapstxtlog" file. I use "scrolllock" as the key to start the logging.

Once you have that assigned run fraps as you play and hit "scroll lock" to begin the recording.

One we decide on a map, we need to decide on the # of terrorists and number of friendlies, plus you need to tell me what EXACT settings you are using in game PLUS those used in the fx control pannel.

AT the moment I believe we should use 2x AA (not quincunx) and 8x AF (i will use quality and you use the one that forces trilinear).

If this sounds good let me know

I took it as an implied question. I was talking about the subject of threads on the gfFX, to which you responded: Why does it matter if the FX is getting nailed to the wall for it's poor performance in benchmarks?

I extrapolated "why does it matter if" to "what is wrong with." And since I was talking about people in forums, and you responded to me, I assumed that you were talking about people in forums blasting the gfFX, not reviewers/reviews blasting it.

Then you said this.

Nope, I was not referring to you. I was referring to threads that have been started like "nvidia cheating in drivers," "geforcefx sucks," etc, etc.

I'm sorry if you thought I was referencing you.

lol, incidentally i agree with what you said there marcocom. In response to the 'FX getting nailed'.

That same site was getting bashed for praising the FX last month (when they reviewed the MSI FX) now suddenley the Asus FX isnt good enough? Strange that.

speaking of FX Ultras...has anyone ever been able to purchase 1 without the FX Flow? gainward, asus, msi, chaintech, and leadtek were all suppose to use their own coolers, but it seems as though every FX that people purchased (which does not include review samples), has the regular FX Flow w/ a circular sticker of the distributor's/manufacturer's logo on it

gainward had the ugly monstrosity, but more effective of a hsf

asus had a black pcb with a 3d asus logo as a heatsink (no longer displayed on their website...just shows reference FX), IMO it looked the best of all the FX's, as far as aesthetics are concerned, that were suppose to come out

msi had dual fans

chaintech had larger dual fans

leadtek had an even uglier monstrosity when compared to gainward, but on the plus side it takes up 1 slot, however it seems as though it would do more harm than good

Marco

Had I attacked you personally you would not be alive at this moment.

Besides, I never attacked your arguments (namely because you never presented any) and had I done so, based on your personality, in this forum, it would have gone like this-

Marco is a fricking drooling idot, he eats grass for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and he's been wearing the same underwear since the third grade (never washed), therefore his post and all threads attributed to him are meaningless drivel that one should not even let the video card render.

I never said this (correct)?

R9700 using 3.2 cats modified to 9800. Core/mem set at 301/301 (3DMark reads them at 302/302) using R3D Tweak. No wonder you get stuttering and other issues, it's obvious your rig has problems due to a severe PEBKAC issue.

When my core is 300 and my memory clock is 300 that means the memory clock is 'effective' 600

Your post just made fun of your self. 3dmark03 dosent detect the 'effective' speed. It detects the clock speed, dubling the clock speed is just a marketing thing to make it sound more important than it is.
