View Full Version : Can you mix the same model card, but from diff manufactures in SLI (diff oc speeds)?
I'm sure this question has been asked many times before, but just wanted quick feedback before I purchase a second card for use in SLI with my first one. I.E. mix 8800GT from MSI with 8800GT from Gigabyte, both with 512 megs RAM.

i think so yes but you can take a g92+g80 has to be 2g80´s or g92´s if i´m not all wrong
GPU's have to be the same brands can be different. Used to be able to mix memory amounts and fix it through Rivatuner but I don't know if you can do that anymore.

You can mix memory amounts, e.g. a 256mb card w/ a 512mb card, but then both cards will run as 256mb cards - so it's not a good idea.

As long as they are the same card. You can mix vendors.
The will both run at what ever speed is of the video card in your first PCI-E Slot.
So if you put a non oc one in the second spot and put an oc one in the first spot. Both cards will run at the oc speed.
