I got a 13 month gold subscription card as a gift. Other than multiplayer gaming, is there any benefit to having a gold subscription. I havent played online since test drive unlimited, and probably dont intend to play any in future. So I am wondering if I should just sell it off?

It's worth keeping, alot of good multiplayer titles on their way.

Once you get into XB Live and get yourself a good group of regulars on your friends list it really does open new doors.

Albeit there are alot of idiots on XBL, there are many awesome folks on there.

Besides MP, the only other benefit to a Gold subscription is that you get to download some items a week or so before Silver members.

Bottom Line: If your are not going to play multi-player games on a regular basis, dont bother activating it. You can access everything gold members can as silver member. SELL the card

Now, I don't know your financial situation or anything, and am not asking, but a 12-month gold subscription to xbl is only worth ~$50 http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie_test=1&product_id=790003 . While that may seem like a bit of money, the $4.16 a month is pocket change to me. I spend slightly more than that each day on bus fare to get to work and back.
