There was actually a guy who was arguing with me that he should be allowed. WTF!? You simply cannot use ANYTHING but your own ability to be a running in the summer olympics.

I'm going to replace my feet with miniture Ford Mustangs and enter the olympics. If I'm disabled I can use whatever I want.

Maybe if the damn things looked like actual feet and not a spring.

edit: I've seen something on this guy before. He does have another set of limbs to use for normal walking. He can barely stand on the running blades. Evidently, he knows he has an advantage by using them or else he would use his walking feet.

Well, not actually "barred", but just "inelligible". If he can find another way to run, he can participate (I.E., with prosthetic legs, not springy feet).

I also agree with Trick, sounds like he knows the advantage of having an 8ft stride.

QFT!

He should try compete in the Paralympics instead, and with his regular prosthetic legs not the springy feet.

Interesting...last I heard those things weren't as good as real legs, but that was quite a while ago so things may have changed since then. It certainly seems like it's something that would be ripe for abuse if they allowed it.

Well he demolished the Paralympics records with these legs, BUT he isnt on par with olympic runners right now.

I say let the guy compete if they are too springy then make them build a pair that have less spring rate.

I really don't see how this is a discussion

Why should he be allowed springs on his legs...
