Heh. People Eating Tasty Animals.

I saw a story (http://www.wben.com/newsroom/fullstory.php?newsid=00303) yesterday that PETA offered the town of Hamburg, NY $15,000 worth of veggie burgers to change its name to Veggieburg. "Not a chance" was the response.

Believe it or not, they wanted to give the veggie burgers to the school district for their lunches. Yeah, like kids are gonna stomach THAT. :lol:

It IS possible to make a veggie burger that tastes OK (I've made some eggplant-chickpea burgers that are quite tasty), but they can't hold a candle to the flavor of a burger made of any sort of dead animal flesh....

LONDON (Reuters) - The leader of a prominent U.S.-based animal rights group said she had drawn up a will directing that her flesh be barbecued and her skin used to make leather products in protest at man's ill-treatment of animals.

Ingrid Newkirk, 53, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), said on Thursday she had chosen to donate her body to her organization for use in a variety of startling protests.

Newkirk also suggested her feet be removed and made into umbrella stands similar to those made from elephant feet that she had seen as a child.
