This is the last time i'll ask a question about the cap on the p5b-d northbridge I promise!
Just that its more of an issue now with the new locked multi cpu coming soon.

Can I just pry it off when its still warm

You know what ,I'll probably take off the whole thing anyway to replace the goop.

It comes off really easy, just has some tape holding it on.

It peals off pretty easy, thats the first thing I did and put a 60mm fan on the top.

You can remove it easily.

I put a Zalman ZM-NBF47 on it :

Im going to put a "AKASA 40mm Chipset Fan - Blue LED" on there like on my sb (the fan is silent in my case) but that zalman looks to be the best performer in some test. They didnt compare to the extreme spirit II though.

Do you really need a fan on that thing? I always look at mine and wonder if I should take it off... lol.

Yes if you go over say 440 to 500 FSB then yes it goes side by side with the voltage as well. I think the stock HS or copper is better then the aluminum one. I would get this if I got one.
