I am currently beta testing Redhat 7.3.94. (Codename "Null".) It uses GCC 3.2. There are some binary incompatibility problems between GCC 3.2 and previous versions. The biggest problem is that if the kernel is compiled with GCC 3.2, any kernel modules used must also use GCC 3.2 or later.
This breaks the nVIDIA kernel modules. (They will not load. And yes, I have tried recompiling from the source RPM.)
Would it be possible to get a copy of the kernel module compiled with GCC 3.2? I am currently using the stock XFree86 4.2.0 "nv" driver, but the OpenGL drivers for that are abismally slow.
Thanks!
