The price of Reforence HD 3850 512MB is about 1499CNY/207USD or even lower, the card is 8800GS’ main enemy.
Based on the chart, XFX 8800GS 384MB XXX leads about 6.53%. If we omit those lower than 30 FPS score, then the gap will enlarge to 12%.

Final thought

XFX 8800GS 384MB XXX have a black PCB and a single slot cooler, more handsome than Palit version. Also it is also an factory overclocked product, good choice for light users.

But even it is a XFX produt, it also have lots of features chops off. It's only have 6 layer PCB, only 1.4ns Qimonda memory chips, no auto fan speed adjustments.

The Good:

Factory overclocked.

Handsome.

Produce by NVIDIA partners, more like a reference version.

nice warranty supports.

bundles with game.

The Con:

Only with Qimonda 1.4ns memory chips.

High noise level because fan can not be automatic adjusted, always running at 100%.

Looks like a ok card, well apart from the 1.4ns memory & the fact that the fan cannot be automatically adjusted & is always running at 100%.

Maby the fam problem can be sorted with RivaTuner.

I have to question the market for this card. Most people would just get the GT 512MB I would think.
