NVnews fourm needs some nv news:captnkill:

Almost all NVIDIA's upcoming products will be delay to March, according to our sources.

Delayed new products including 780a, 750a, 790i, 790i Ultra, and 9800 GX2. All these products should be announced in Feb, 2008. Sources did not mention the reason why NV hold the upcoming releases. And we guess that's because of factories are running into Chinese new year holiday.

The delay will push back the war between GeForce 9800GX2 and Radeon HD 3870 X2. And that means HD 3870 X2 will be the absolutely highest product in the market, continue eating NVIDIA's share for one extra month.

And 790i and 790i Ultra's delay will make them directly face Intel's X48. Also, in NVIDIA's February product line up, only GeForce 8200 will still stick on NV's roadmap, to be released in Feb. But GeForce 8200's rival, AMD's 780G have been released in China few days ago.

We've also reported 9600GT suffering a week's delay from Feb 14 to Feb 21, and its enemy, Radeon HD 3600 series already began selling from Jan 23.

Im sure ive heard two HD 3870's in crossfire cant even compeat with one Ultra.

The 8800 ultra is just as fast in most cases and faster in many. And it's a single chip on the board...hmm. I don't think nVidia need worry -- ATI's solution is just as hackjob anyway.

So let's hope ATI can improve the Quad CF drivers!

yes, Quad CF should break 30k in 3dmark06

Wouldn't even take those if I got them for free. nV chipsets suck badly :thumbdwn:

and 9800 GX2.
So what? It's not as if it was even remotely interesting... :lame:
Bring out the *new* gpus, dammit!

yeah really, who cares... its just more scheisse nv chipsets.

my 8800 GTS is still going strong so I'm happy :D

as long as pcsx2 emulates fast I can wait forever

Considering nvidia just slaps 2 PCBs together i`d say ATI`s solution is much more elegant.

"It only takes 4 of our GPU's to beat the Ultra"

I'm not making fun of you, I'm just making fun of the sad state of the performance video card market...

Nope it only takes two! :) Just take a look at some benchmarks and you'll see that the 3870x2 is the fastest card on the market right now!

Only if you look at the **** canned benchmarks that most of the crap sites on the web use.

Like the same ones that declared the 2900 (****) XT a competitor to the GTX or ULTRA. Or even a winner in some cases.

This site actually has a clue about testing cards:

http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQ1NCw4LCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

It can't even hang with the 8800GTX in most of the games.

So why would anyone want to pay for that, when they can get a GTX?

Actually, the ones that show the ATi card is winning only shows like 2 benchmarks. The Ultra kicks that new ATI cards ass to the curb in all the other benchies. So stop beating the dead horse, ATI is not who they used to be.

30K was already broken with 8800 Ultra ;)

is faster in about 4 games, not all of them, so its not the fastest card on the market

i want a single gpu card that has double the power of the 8800GTX, half of the size and load temps of 60c.
I don't see the firat happening before Xmas, the second simply isn't going to happen (who cares about size, anyway?), and the third neither - while smaller processes reduce temps, newly added transistors for new features and raised clocks bring them up again.

First of all your statement is totally illogical... "just as fast in most and faster in manny" at the same time?

secondly... I guess the Gx2 is a "hackjob" also?

for making a clearly biased post like this you need a :spank:

Actually, in Intel17's defense, he did say " ATi's solution is just AS hackjob anyway". So he did say both solutions are hackjob.

I believe I remember that Giga-Byte was the first company that brought us the hack-job back in the 6800 days......
