Hi,

I just flashed my mainboard with BIOS P32, who gives support for Wolfsdale and I guess Yorkfield

But I cannot find a place to check which CPUs it supports from those family

Somebody with same mainboard and/or an answer?

thx

I don't have the board, but from what I've seen, only non-reference 680i's have a chance of supporting Yorkfield, so unless it explicitly states yorkfield support in addition to wolfdale, I wouldn't bet money on it.

Hi Dragunov,

More of a question/clarification than answer for you.
I hope this is an appropriate place...

I too have an MSI P6N (680i reference board).
The dear ghost board that no-one acknowledges exists!

Currently on P28 BIOS and unable to find anything more recent from MSI.
Can I flash this board with any P32?
(From XFX or EVGA for example?)

Any potential pitfalls using a BIOS from another manufacturer, or are these refence boards really identical?

Many thanks,

Phil.
